That's just it with Python. One good one, one bad (or more). QC sucks.

I beg to differ. I have a rebuilt Python 1.9 AFM on my 84 Westy that I installed in September 2000. Nary a problem or blip with it. Then again what they did 10 years ago may be different than what they may be doing today and not as good. I liked it so much I bought an extra to stuff under the bed/seat box, still there in the box, waiting for it to be used on the Westy or the 84 GL. And I have an NOS 1.9 AFM (expensive) stashed elsewhere too. -- Jim Thompson 84 GL 1.9 "Gloria" 84 Westfalia 2.1 "Ole Putt" 72 411 Station Wagon "Pug" Full Timing Since March 1999 oldvolkshome@gmail.com http://www.oldvolkshome.com *********************************** On Tue, Mar 2, 2010 at 10:36 AM, Jeff <vw.doka@gmail.com> wrote: Definitely stay away from anything rebuilt by Python. I swear those guys do nothing more than clean, sandblast and put a sticker on their AFMs. Cheers, Jeff |
