On a diesel, one can remove the vacuum pump to come in above the oil
pump and spin the pump shaft directly with a 6-point socket on a long
extension connected to an electric drill running at high rpm. It can
take 30 seconds or more of fast spinning, but it primes up that way.
I have no idea if you can do a similar thing on a 2.1 waterboxer, but
someone else can chip in on this.
One thing for sure, if you truly don't have oil pressure, do NOT keep
trying to run/spin the engine!
