Subject: Sliding Window Latch
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

My daughter's '87 Westy. She opened the slider and the sliding window latch just fell out onto the ground. She picked up the pieces: Inside latch, Black outside plate, washer. I'd like to put it back on, but am currently mystified.

The two screws that would go through the glass into the outside plate go through a spring-loaded sliding bar in the latch. Their heads are inside the latch so the spring-loaded bar needs to come off first. I can't see how it comes off.

So, how do I get this thing apart and hopefully back together?

Thanks,

Tom Salicos '87 Syncro Westy EG-33
