Mine spit that spring out a few years ago and now my slider will not lock. Anyone know where I can get the spring and also a little small cylindrical shaped part (if memory serves me correctly) that is also missing? Thanks everyone. ? David Clarkson 90 Westy (282,000 mi.)

Remove the two screws, being careful not to lose the spring. Then you? can reattach the inside plate to the glass and outside plate. Then replace? the latch part.? You need a short screw driver to reach up inside the replace the screws.? Jerry? ? ----- Original Message -----? From: "Mister Tom" <TomsGroups@SALICOS.COM>? She opened the slider and the sliding window? > latch? > just fell out onto the ground. She picked up the pieces: Inside latch,? > Black outside plate, washer. I'd like to put it back on, but am currently? > mystified.? >? > The two screws that would go through the glass into the outside plate go? > through a spring-loaded sliding bar in the latch. Their heads are inside? > the latch so the spring-loaded bar needs to come off first. I can't see? > how? > it comes off.? >? > So, how do I get this thing apart and hopefully back together?? >? > Thanks,? >? > Tom Salicos? > '87 Syncro Westy EG-33?
