Good luck. Start calling. I had my Adventurwagon shipped from Virignia to Medord Oregon. the intial 'bid' was $ 1,150 I think... about 2 and a half years ago, maybe 3. ( the fact that it's a High Roof made it harder to get anyone to take it - you shouldn't have that problem )

Seems that most of them that you talk to are really brokers, and they just post the job for any takers. Nothing happened, in my case, for quite a while., I raised the bid twice ...and finally someone took it at $ 1,350. 150 that the company I talked to called a 'deposit' is really their broker fee.

if you can find someone to deal with directly .......the actual hauler themselves, that might help. One company said ............we move itfrom distribution center to distribution center ... and it works it's way across. If it won't start and drive off the truck, we leave it there, and it's your problem.

another company said .....if it won't start and back off the trailer on it's own, it's 300 bucks extra to unload it, no exceptions.

so.......expect to pay more for one that doesn't run.

I couldn't especially recommned whoever I used. They all seemed a little 'big on talk, low on results' to me. Congrats on your purchase !

Does anyone have or know of a company that will transport a vanagon from Boston to Portland oregon? I need to find a company that will give me a good deal. Thanks
