Hello Everyone,

For the 10th anniversary of Van-O-Rama, I thought some advance planning was in order. At this point, the plan is to hold on the Saturday after Labor Day. It needs to be a special day for several reasons:

1) It's our 10th year!

2) In falls on the 25th year of the Syncro

3) It is on September 11, 2010 (i can't get into the significance at this time)

Anyway, we can have it at Alta Loma Park in SSF, where we held it the last few times. Or we can have it in a parking lot near a group of restaurants in the area. Your VOR organizer happens to know the owners of two of the businesses in the complex and can get their consent to use the parking lot.

Here's the thinking. If we use the private parking lot, there should be no hassles from the Park & Rec people who do not like automotive events. Plus there is a possibility we might be able to do a vendor both or two once more of the tenants in that center gives their consent. There is even a possibility of letting a Westy or two stealth camp in the area. The main potential sponsor is open 24 hours the Friday before and the whole weekend.

There is a plan on sell T-shirts to commemorate the event. A vendor has been chosen and art submissions are now welcome. Winner gets a free T-shirt with their creation. We may just get my guy to design one. His work has been on a evrything from rice rockets to Lambos and Porsches. No VW's yet but he may soon own a Vanagon (if i have my way).

Suggestions are very welcome at this early stage. Have not discounted the idea of holding the event in other locations as long as it is close to San Francisco.
