Mine is a 91 and the same setup. Once you go fwd thru the firewall, it is only a little bit till you hit the hard line. So yours sounds OK. Tip: Instead of a grommet thru the firewall..take a leftover peice of hose and slit it lengthwise. Then just insert it into the hole in the firewall and it should stay. C ya.
