Thanks for all that good advice. I have been using simple green to clean up the engine compartment since this is probably the only time in a long while I'll so much access to it all. I'll use it on these other parts too. :) Can't wait till that longblock arrives so I can put this baby back together! (and hope i can read all my labels on the wires still!
