I thought about pulling mine part when I painted the dash a month or so ago. Too much trouble, you had to pop out dozens of little discs pressed onto pins that are part of the pad. It would have taken all day, and they are hard enough to get off that if you tried to pry the dash up you would bend and dent the dash. The dash must be pulled. Not all that hard, it will come off in an half if you've ever done it before. Maybe an hour and a half if you haven't. No really special tools needed.

Just some good thin prybar to get under those #$$% fasteners.
