Thanks for all the advice folks.

i guess I left a few things off my list of already done/planned I do have new axles/cv joints to go in. I've already resealed my gas tank and replaced the fuel lines up to the engine compartment, have a new fuel filter as well. New water pump and new seals for the oil cooler. The van spent it's entire life inland from Houston Texas so it never experienced any salt or other winter type punishment. I will give another good look at the seams etc... for trouble spots.

I'll look for that brass washer/felt washer retainer thingy.

I'll post more when I've received the longblock and am putting things back together. :)
