My 1990 Volkswagen GL Campmobile has a rear seat that folds into a very flat, quite cushy (firm, but then any decent bed is) comfortable bed. Yes, it is level all the way across and back to front. Even the seam where the seat and the seat back meat is almost perfectly flush. DMc
