Ah. Well there ya go. :) I guess I could have been clearer. Like: "I wonder *how far*" the rust has progressed?" But as you say. Cut/weld. I figured maybe one would bang out what's there. But then that's just me thinkin' it's a trumpet or something. (my former "career" as a brass instrument repairman) And I bet working in that area would be nearly impossible in terms of bangin stuff out/straight (ish). Neil.
