Close the door gently until the door make contact. Then with the hand on
the handle or adjacent to it - make a quick thrust and the door will
snap shut without fuss - tight seals or not. BTDT. It is a nice feature
about Vanagons. you DON'T have to SLAM the door like on other vehicles.
