My son is in South America Bolivia traveling in an 82 VW Westy they purchased from a British Columbia couple who drove it down to Lima, Peru.  The vehicle was advertised on thesamba.com and my son purchased it along with 3 other guys.  They plan on driving throughout South America then back to California and want to be one of the first to drive through the rain forest when the highway first opens.
