So are you saying something like this:
"One possibility is to offer the auto again but in a lower development

it's more risky, we offer it at a lower price, but with the full
understanding that there are risks we cannot account for fully at this time,
and the customer has to explicitly take full responsibility for the results
of the conversion with regard to the transaxle should there be an
incident(we currently don't cover or warranty the work of others, but since
it's so unclear at this point what is happening, we will break our own
policies if we feel we need to)."

Can you explain how it is that you think they have completely closed the
door on the auto community? I'm not understanding that interpretation of
the situation. What I read on the website is that as a precautionary
measure they are suspending AT support until they know more. After all, in
the (at this point, seemingly _very_ unlikely) event that it is something
wrong with their setup, then the best thing they could do for the auto
community would be to quit shipping it, until they've addressed it, right?
So isn't it more correct to characterize this as them bending over backward
to be responsible and do the right thing for the AT community?
That's certainly the way I look at it, anyway, ignorant of these things
though I may be compared to the rest of y'all.
