Subject: What adhesive to use on dash foil?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

A few years back I was trying to track down a problem with my TS flasher LED not coming on and somehow shot the juice to a circuit in the dash foil that smoked about a half inch of copper out of one of the circuits. The foil already had one break in it that I knew of. I would like to repair bridge the gap with some of that window defroster repair stuff that everybody talks about. But, before I do, I need to reattach several inched of loose copper that burned away from the mylar backing as well as tidy up a few other places where the laminate has rolled back at the edges.

Superglue would probably do a great job in the short run, but it would probably not stay attached to the mylar. Any ideas of what to use for this repair? Thin double stick tape?

Jim
