Well I wasn't expecting much, because they were listed on L.A.'s craigslist, at 200 for
the set, including new tires, and he said that after 2 days I was the
only one who had called.
But I was close by so I took a look.
They
 looked too damn nice, couldn't help but buy them.
Tires are
worthless to me of course.
Fronts have a max load of about 1100 #,
back about 1300#.
They say made in Germany, by Ronal, 7 X 15, but with an ET of
35.
I thought I saw somewhere that the 7x15 would have an ET of 23?
Did
 Ronal make them with 2 different ET's?

The R9 is no longer made because Ronal said the molds were damaged.

Penta wheels were very similar and wad used by AMG during the same era
that they used the R9 on their cars. Quality is about the same as the
Ronal.

Right around the same time period, a company called AIR made a wheel
which looks very much like the R9. Quality is not so good as evidenced
by several sets I previously owned. In every case, the sellers told me
they were R9 replicas. Curious that all the ones I got were W126
(380sec, 500sec, 560sec) cars tarted up to look like AMG cars.

As far as new replicas of the R9 today, I have not seem any yet.
