My only comment on this subject is that Peel-n-Seal is rubberized asphalt, not butyl rubber. Asphalt contains a number of chemicals and it can / will release some gasses due to thermal breakdown. You can look up the materials sheet for rubberized asphalt to confirm this. One of those gases, actually the first one listed is carbon monoxide. Know what carbon monoxide smells like? Neither does anyone else. You pays your money and you takes your chances. -Peter On Tue, Mar 16, 2010 at 2:37 PM, Jeff Lincoln <magikvw@gmail.com> wrote: > On Tue, Mar 16, 2010 at 5:25 PM, pdooley <psdooley@verizon.net> wrote: > > > Another vote for PnS. > > I didn't notice any off gassing, the stuff sticks fine if applied with a > > roller to clean metal, and it's way cheaper. > > > > Like I said that was my experience as well - even in very hot weather I > noticed no off gassing of any kind.
