I to have a Propex under my rear seat so I built this enclosure for my Porta potty. I like it because it serves as a seat and can easily be removed when I need the extra space. I can laso take the porta potty out of the box and use it for extra storage. It stays in place and does not slide around at all. http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/album_page.php?pic_id=658927 http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/album_page.php?pic_id=658928 http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/album_page.php?pic_id=658929

No way. I've seen several rigs with the enclose w/lid setup for the toilets, usually behind the passenger seat. Seems to work well for them. My solution is even simpler. I normally leave the bed down, especially when traveling. That leaves the bed overhanging into the living area. And the toilet tucks under just fine, in the corner, next to the 110v AC outlet. Two screw eyes and a bungee cord keeps it from sliding around on sudden stops, being under the bed would keep it in place during a rollover. And it's out of the way, gets pulled out when needed. One limitation: Only the smaller of one make port potties will fit so I have a smaller capacity than those using the bigger/taller units. |
