Hi All
Aluminum is great but No Sound Absorbing properties. Reflects noise all
over and can rattle.
If making your own panels you can cut them from Water Resistant Door
panel boards avail at most Auto Trim / Upholstery shops. Cut the panels
with a fine tooth Jig Saw and test fit. Take them back to the shop and
have them Wrap them for ya if your not to stellar with a basic wrap job.
Select a fabric and ask what they have in stock you will be
supprised what is there. have them use a 1/4" sew foam and
glue/staple the fabric on and your good to go. Use the Deco Screws if you
want the washer screw look and just screw them on. You can also use Cap
Screws and screw them on then snap a plastic cap on to make it look more
stock. If your looking for stock you can dink around and locate the holes
and install the OEM style clips but that is a bit more work. For simple
go the 1st way. Using Hardboard from Home Depot will work BUT you get it
wet a bit and it swells and warps and your work is shot.
Not sure if I helped much. But the easiest way is to call Sewfine, Order
the panels and when they come in, Install them or have a shop do it for
you. Quick and Easy. Pending how cheap you are and what your budget will
allow.
