I installed Dynamat in the passenger front door of my van. Haven't gotten to the driver's side yet. The difference in the sound the door makes when closing is amazing! It now makes that firm, confident sound that you get when you close the door of a finely made German automobile, like a Mercedes or a BMW. The sound inside improved noticeably on the passenger side. I am kicking myself for not doing the front of the van when I had the dash out years ago. There's a lot of noise there, particularly when raining. At this point, I would recommend putting it in both front doors, on the metal behind the dash, and probably on the ceiling, though that would be a lower priority since you already have the luggage rack muffling much of the exterior noise. The back speakers seem to be loud enough for the rear passengers, but that sound doesn't really make it up front so well.

I also installed a 6" Bazooka sub right behind the front passenger seat. That made a huge difference in the quality of the sound coming from my stereo, and took a lot of the pressure off of the front speakers. Those 3" Blauplunkts weren't intended to be able to hit those low notes, though I find them pretty efficient speakers overall.

My subjective observations... Marc
