I only have two sunroof vans for sale. a quite pristine 82 Sunroof Diesel Vanagon ... barely a ding in the whole body, zero rust. Can be showroom condition even.

the other one is a rare 83 5 speed Sunroof Diesel Vanagon.

they don't have to be diesel of course. the original engine for the 82 is getting bored out for new oversize pistons etc...so 'full rebuild' . Total miles on that van are only 124K ..and it has tow bar brackets under the front ...so all of those miles were not even under it's own power.

the 83 5 speed... one dent in rear hatch that I have half removed already .. GL interior. Sunroof could use some work, but opens and closes. no rust. Basically a very decent 83 Sunroof van. Currently runs with tired stock 1.6 NA engine. Plan is a rebuilt 1.6 turbo engine for it ...maybe turbocharged, maybe NA. But block gone-through engine in it, with piston oil squirters. I'd rather do an inline four gasser in it. or even a waterboxer. The 5 speed totally transforms any vanagon, particularly in the 35 to 75 mph range.

price wise... they are $ 4,995 at the low , and that's not with a rebuilt engine of course ... up to 7,995 depending on how perfect and totally rebuilt I get them, and what engine they have in them.

The 82 is so original .......I have the side window price sticker for it, and salesman's business card that sold it Portland OR. Don't want to modify that van much .. but I'll put a 1.9 AAZ TD in it if you pay for it. or whatever. You buy, I build.
