CO, yeah- it comes out of tail pipes too. You breathe it every day while following that car ahead of you.

I ride with the windoze down so fresh air can replace the killer gas, but either way I seriously doubt the mat is gonna out-gas enough to kill you or even make you drowsy.

My only comment on this subject is that Peel-n-Seal is rubberized asphalt, not butyl rubber. Asphalt contains a number of chemicals and it can / will release some gasses due to thermal breakdown. You can look up the materials sheet for rubberized asphalt to confirm this. One of those gases, actually the first one listed is carbon monoxide.

Know what carbon monoxide smells like? Neither does anyone else.

You pays your money and you takes your chances.
