In the 16" size a very viable tire choice is the Falken Ziex 912 215 6oR16. This is an interesting tire in that it has reinforced sidewalls and a load rating of 99, which is high for this size. They are very affordable and available. I got mine from www.onlinetires and another set from www.discounttires.com. The diameter is a tad bit bigger <26.1"> than stock which corrects the factory speedometer error. My speedometer/odometer is almost exactly correct. Wheels are available that do not require spacers or longer studs if they bother you. We just went up to 17" wheels on a project van and these also fit well and look great. We used Falken 215 65R17 tires <28"> on this vehicle, trying to change the overall gearing. So there's an argument for the 15" Mike with 16" and an original 2.1 engine On 3/15/10 5:29 AM, "David Clarkson" <dvdclarksn@AOL.COM> wrote: > It's time for some new and larger tires/wheels for my 90 Westfalia.
