re this firing order thing.. the really easy way to remember it and check it is , it's 1-2-3-4 *going backwards*.

very easy to see.....1,2,3,4 Counter Clockwise. Only takes a second to check that way. you need to make sure # is in the right spot of course. There's a faint notch on the top edge of the dist body for where # 1 is.

re not starting now ... is either the timing too retarded, or plugs are wet-fouled with fuel and can't fire ?

dist clamp tight enough to keep dizzy from Turing on its own ?
