I tried it both ways with my home made bleeder. I found pros and cons
both ways. the con with putting fluid in the press bleeder is that I
had left over fluid, a fair bit, that really shoudl be chucked out.
The other way, if you use smaller bottles of fluid, you don't waste
so much.
Stopping to top up van reservoir is a bit of a pain, but not as much
as you'd think.
Either way, the homemade press. bleeder is a boon.

A thought: rather than fill the reservoir (on the car) with brake
fluid and then bleed it down, so that you have to keep an eye on it
and top it off, how about putting the brake fluid in the pump, and
then it would pump into the reservoir exactly what was bled out,
maintaining the proper level throughout the bleeding process--right?
