Well, if you need a contingency of Vanagon owners that want a smart, efficient, powerful, and smog-friendly motor to go up with you to Sacramento to try to convince those guys that it's a good decision, count me in.  Or any other help.  Would be so wonderful to have this option!

I know...still a long way to go on the test bed...and then dealing with all the legal...but a dream to be longed for nonetheless.

No, that is why I call it a test bed. If it works out well I will 
eventually try to get it smogged but that is a long shot for now. I hold 
out hope for a more reasonable future attitude from the powers that be 
but it is a mighty slim hope. I may have to take it out in the end.
