Not wanting to prolong this or anything.. but do want to apolgize publicly. Apparently I wrote the words 'be glad you don't have a Zetec in there' ........regarding torque converter oil seal leaks in automatic transmission vanagons.

I don't blame anyone for seeing that as a direct slam on Zetec conversion ..! never my intention, and I SO apologize !

I'll be more careful in the future. I greatly admire Jim Akiba's work and engine conversions. I actually regard his work as being in a 'whole other catagory' ( as in very, very good, if not superior ) regardomg engine conversions for vanagons.

whatever the oil seal leak issue is ...and I doubt it has much to do with what engine is fitted... I'll bet Jim gets to the bottom of it. My sincere apolgies again.
