I have a battery charger that uses that kind of connector.  They
give you a pigtail to wire to the battery.  I bought some extras
at my local hardware and use one wired to a volt meter so I
can read the voltage at the batteries.  The battery pigtails stuff
under the carpet when not being used by the volt meter or the
battery charger.


Re: cigar lighters.  Last fall Mark Drillock identified a great setup
of socket and plug that twist-lock together and are very well
made--and cheap.  Get them from Digi-Key.  Here's the plug:
