No worries. I've done that a few times ... one of the benefits of having an aux bat. You're not "forcing" anything through the separator or relay by jumping directly from + to + on the batteries. Ground on the battery box/metal, not the negative battery terminal. Fortunately since you're right there, you can turn the key to start, then touch the + cable to the + terminal until your engine start then pull it away. bob
