Are they more likely to hydroplane? That depends on tread design,
depth and compound. If my New Beetle which weighs around 2800 lbs
does great on Michelin Hydroedge tires of 205 size, the my Westy with
4000 lbs of heft should do fine on same tires in 215 width.
