Maybe I'm just different... not to be contrary, I'd actually like to know why not use a TomTom and why the bigger one is better? I use an old small TomTom at least once a week to find someplace I have never been in my state, and have never had a problem to speak of. I think they all have some shortcoming or another, but why bash TomTom? The small one is easy to carry and stows in the side pocket when I leave the car (RE the earlier comment to not leave the mount in sight to advertise there's a navigator on board).
