you mention getting a kit ... with worm clamps ...
the ear clamps by Oetiker clamps clamp in a universal tension
the worm style are excellent in a yard repaired garden hose application for
a while
these clamps are not intended for fuel lines
but hey it is your westy and your family ...
you can choose to replace with any parts you wish
... even those which have been wrongly included in a replacement kit ...
try comparing the after market o rings with OEM
the difference is enormous ...
same for after market thermostat ...
and many other parts ...
my own personal experience both recent and past past
