Huge difference between 2.2 and 2.4.
The 2.4 is not worth the money or expense to run it, IMHO.
Yes, it will have more power, but will still have all the issues of the waterboxer.

2.5 late Subaru seems to be the most used motor nowdays for reliability and power.

Yes, GoWesty is a valuable part of the bus community!

They are always available for questions and I often receive parts with
handwritten notes detailing install procedures.

My brother has a 2.2 from them in his '85 Westy - 3 years, no problems.
