well Karl seeing as we work on these and at this time have 2 foresters with blown turbos sitting here with just over 100K on them, I have to say yes.They have made them even more expensive and harder to work on.Variable cams now. I am not sold on having a lot of power, just seems to cause more problems. I am not sold on the 1.8T motors and I have no problems with the TDI except for costs. I think a lot of people just want more power and don't think ahead too far. Hope you are doing well, How is kelly? later mark d
