This post of Mark Drillocks:

http://gerry.vanagon.com/cgi-bin/wa.exe?S2=vanagon&L=vanagon&q=&s=brake+parts+quality+question&f=&a=may+2006&b=may+2009

says a relative of his was hearing a sound like "air rushing" when pushing brake pedal.

I hear a "whoosh" (possibly same sound?) when I push pedal down. I assume (ed) this was a normal noise of booster.

Regardless, he mentions of Bietrix brand MC and that replacing it solved the problem.

I doubt I'll be able to determine what brand of MC I installed, but I am curious.

It shouldn't be failing so soon. I'll be happy if that's it and not booster. (cha ching)

Neil.
