Are you losing any fluid at all in the reservoir? I had a recurring problem in my Beetle and eventually found a pinhole on the brakeline that was letting air in. Not alot of fluid was leaking, but when I pulled the carpet up and pumped brakes, I saw it. Just thought I'd mention it. Good luck. P.S. Brake job for me after rain stops tomorrow.
