Now that I have ridiculously overlarge tires on my GL, I am curious to see how far the VW engineers went in opening up the wheel wells for the Syncro 16. I've googled till my eyes bled, viewed every pic on www.ig-syncro16.de , and checked the archives like the dickens--- nowhere can I find a relatively close in picture of a Syncro 16 with one of its doors open such that one can see the fender parts which are covered by the door-mounted fender flares when the doors are shut. I could calculate all the possible interference points by measuring theoretical range of motion on the suspension and steering, but that's a lot of work. In this case, a picture really is worth a thousand words.

Anyone ever seen a pic of a Syncro 16 with the door open? Or as an alternative, a pic of the BACK side of a set of unmounted Syncro 16 fender flares?
