need to have my windshield replaced on my 84 westy, the local windshield shop referred by my insurance co. has found an aftermarket windshield by PPG (Pittsburg Plate Glass). I've been told to be VERY careful about aftermarket windshields. Also they will be using an all black molding rather than the chrome trimmed original on her now, Any comments on replacement welcome including tips so they don't "F" it up and will it devalue my westy (or leak) if I don't use original VW stamped window and/or original trim OR does anyone near Lexington Ky have one for sale? THANKS MUCH!! --

warning: most aftermarket windshields come w/ the blue tint strip at the top...depending on your height, this may be a problem.. OEM vw vanagon windshields do not have this blue tint band at the top.
