  BTDT.    Townsend VT may not be located in Tornado Alley, but two
years consecutively, the West River Westies event was hit with
downbursts which came from out of nowhere.


  The first happened on Friday- it wrecked my Catalina and a Shady Boy
on the EV I was parked across from.  The next year we heard that
another burst had occurred  on Saturday, when the CG was nearly full.
Lots of peoples' stuff was flying around, but thankfully, there were
no injuries.
