When I had my windshield replaced, I got a PPG windshield and without my saying one way or another the glass dealer ordered one with the tinted strip at the top. He cut a deal to get it moved without sending it back to the wholesaler, but offered to take it back if I absolutely couldn't live with it. It was installed with a new rubber seal. In a day I knew I could not live with that tint at the top. I went back and true to his word, the dealer pulled it out and installed a plain one - no tint. He treated me fair - and he gets the next two vans because of it.

When you install yours - be sure that there is a high quality sealer used to seal the rubber to the body and the glass to the seal.
