isn't there a fairly flush 'scerw' on the thottle body ? a round 'thing' with screw driver slot in it, almost the size of a dime ?

if it's like I'm thinking...it points right at you as you are standing at the rear bumper looking at the engine, right on the throttle body. It's a 'air bypass' screw, not a mechanical adjustment on the throttle lever or anything like that.

out, ( counterrclockwise ) is 'more' ...faster idle. clickwise ( in ) is less air, slower idle.

it's a fairly non-technical adjustment ...in other words , changing it won't mess anything up badly. If it doesn't respond to turning that screw ...there are other issues going on.

there's a decent picture of it on the left side of page 24.10 in the Bentley manual. arrow in the pic points right to the screw I'm discribing above.
