Doesn't the primary push secondary via hydraulic pressure? My thinking is that they do. If so, my official answer is "no". :)

FWIW, in my case I was pushing harder/further than normal likely causing flex lines to bulge. It's possible other parts were similarly involved.

Maybe my "thud" was something in pedal linkage bumping, or secondary piston bumping stop screw on MC?
