The miss fire is not an adjustment issue. Something is wrong or failing.

Check fuel pressure, is it maintained while under load.

Check distributor, worn shaft/bushings will cause extra pulses, injector openings at various speeds causing all sorts of grief. Bad ignition coil or cap/rotor can do same. Loose wiring or bad connections.

We have a 1984 Westy 1900cc 135,000 miles. 90% of the time badly misfires specifically between 2800 and 3000 rpm's. Searched archives but no luck finding this particular problem. I'm thinking distributor timing advance, wiring harness, vacuum leak, ECU. Seeking words of wisdom from the experienced. We do 20+ Art shows from this van and the season is cranking up, got to get this thing right soon. THANKS! for any advice on this.
