dear this little light of mine i love oil lamps ... but they do hiss ...and loudly the light is just under 25 watts according to some source i cant recall to verify ...grew up with oil lamps as regular source of light when the power went out .. and one winter when i shut most of the house up to conserve heat .. be less lonely and use less of the house have not had a need to use coal oil lamps for 20 years .. but do use coal oil almost every other week ...
