Loren, We need to know your year to be specific with you.  I would say
Metal Master PBR pads would be the best for stopping power and fade
resistance.  In brakes everything is a trade off though.  You have an
organic pad which is the cheapest, and also the easiest on your rotor
(low wear on rotor, higher wear on pads).  Then you have the semi
metallic (what VW used) which has better stopping and less fade but more
wearing on the rotor, mid priced too.  Then you have Metal Master which
is the most expensive, almost all metal and has the best stopping power
and least fade but will wear the rotors out faster.  There were Ceramic
pads available as well for a while but it seems like they have been
discontinued.  They were supposed to be the best of all worlds, but if
they stopped selling them, there is probably a reason.  Could be that
you need a special rotor to be matched with it for it to work properly.
