I thought this to be a very strange question from my insurance company. "Guys, it's the original one that came with the car, you tell me." (1989)

So I've got a huge crack down the center and need a replacement. I'll insist on new window rubber (sourcing it from van-cafe this week). What about the glass though? Is there an optimal source? Is it an NLA VW part? My insurance company suggested I go with safelite autoglass.

Who's got the best glass?
