Subject: BOSCH ANTENNA KEY.
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

Chris,

I've got an antenna which has a hidden position, all the way down, and it is spring-loaded. It has a small "key" that has a single "finger" prong about 1/4" long on a tab just big enough to hold between your thumb and pointer finger that goes into a slot on the antenna barrel that houses the hidden antenna. I can push down on the antenna end and it springs in but stops when it goes to flush. The little key doesn't seem to help release the antenna to make it spring out or pop up. the plastic above-fender part has the VW/Audi letters/symbols on it and the casting under that piece says 80PE, made in Japan. Do you know how this thing works? I know that description may be more confusing than descriptive.
