I have a couple of leaky VC units on the shelf. I have been tempted to
take them apart and maybe try to fix them. I guess first we would need
to know if new seals are available.

The fluid that leaks out is dark gray but I have no way to know what
color it started out as. It has a strange consistency and settles to the
bottom of the front diff housing rather than mix much with the
surrounding gear oil.

The leaky VCs pretty much freewheeled when installed.
