not brilliant at all, just taking a British, invention :)

Harry Ferguson et al developed it in the 50-60s. I think it was a simple viscous coupling, he also developed, dry plate clutch type diffs too.

Google Tony Rolt for a real life hero chappy, involved with establishment of Ferguson's 4wd.

I think the Jensen FF (ferguson formula) did not use a vc, but dry plate clutches (did have ABS though). GKN is the heir to the Ferguson 4wd biz, they still make VCs

You have to stick up for the Brits once in a while :)
